When your day is long....

When your day is long, and the night is yours alone....

That short sentence set my memories back to few years ago when I was in Aceh. It was 29th of December 2004, just three days after a massive earthquake and Tsunami hit the region. It was never crossed in my mind that the disaster was so catastrophic. The only tsunami that I referred to was one in East Nusa Tenggara sometime in 90s. Yet, it is incomparable to what I saw when put my first step in Banda Aceh. That was the beginning of some of my longest days in humanitarian works. It is something that deeply altered my perspective toward the sacred beliefs to the nature of the jobs. To which it further reminded me that in the end… everybody hurts.

Indomie

Indomie, for good and bad times. It is raining now. We order one "Ayam Bawang", one "Soto Mie" (both with eggs), and one "Mie Goreng".

I was strolling in a local bookshop when I saw this Lonely Planet's guide. My interest to Tibet (and Nepal) is getting stronger now. Tibet, see you next year.
